Mobola and Olumide

Venue - Civic Center & Island Club

Question of the Week?

Do you think that Brides and Grooms should give one another gifts on their wedding day?

Rant of the Week

Continued from last week...........

1. For your wedding reception, no matter how loaded you are PLEASE 'swallows' i.e eba, amala,

iyan are only for engagements

2.Grooms please visit the barber, no just to cut your hair but to be cleaned up

I think it's nice to recieve a gift on your wedding day no matter how small.. just like anony above said it shows that they have each other in mind.
Quick question, How does one feature on the wedding of the week?

YEAH ... Thanks, Wedding vogue peeps, We will accept this as the final entry for December, we'll take whatever we can get ... wow!!!!! I dint't know I had it that bad. I think I am addicted to Wedding Vogue o! I NEED Help.

K ... let's get right into it, wedding gifts are thoughtful, I agree with Anonymous #1 that it shows that you are still thinking about each other even on that day, it's a lil' touch of "I Love you" from your honey as people are tugging and pulling at you, it is a sense of reassurance and a moment of peace that after all of this is said and done, you guys still got each other. So puhleeeze people get a gift or something for that special man or lady, ok?

Beautiful wedding...Looks well planned and the couple look like they enjoyed their days.....

I think its great for the couple to exchange gifts....i have this idea of giving his gift to a friend or someone that will be in the house with him the night before...So he gets his gift the day before....

I don't see anything wrong with eba, amala, iyan for receptions. Even if the reception is held in a posh location, if that's what the couple wants served at their wedding, then so be it!

Ade, I feel you jare, if people want to get their grub on with Eba and Amala that is their perogative, but me I say, ehm, my sista and broda, be very careful o!!! I can just see the drips of oyel (oil) messing up that oh so preeeety white/ivory gown you wore this morning and that crious TM Lewin, that creates a wedding headache that you do not need.

My advise: Je eki e b4 your wedding. Throw down, the ebas and stuves b4 your wedding if that is your choice. It helps with having a solid stomach and prevents fainting spells during and after the ceremony ... Best yet, drink lots of water and liquids, because omo eba and amala and iyan, just make me want to lay down and sleep.

well weddings i guess is about satisfying ur guest appetites if not all but most. Some pple just dont see themselves eating rice at an occasion while others enjoy the feel of swallow outside their homes and some people like me must neva be caught with a ball of any swallow at a party cant afford tp ruin my status :) just kidding abeg. i prefer using my hands for such things, cut all d butter in using fork and knife please fork and knife for ogbono or okro hows dat gonna go down well so i rather be in my home eating such meals "MPO"
But at the end of the day it all boils down to what each person wants served on their day

Couple should exchange gifts on their wedding day.
I also think people should serve whatever they please at their wedding reception. I would rather see eba, Amala, iayn or Lafun as opposed to the nasty Chinese food that is dumped on plates.
