About Simply Beautiful

Simply Beautiful is a company that creates stunning Hats, Headpieces, Fascinators that distinguish you at any function or occasion. Ranging from Weddings to Birthdays and any occasion you want to stand out in.

Why the name Simply Beautiful?

Simply Beautiful is a God-Inspired name. It used to be Taffis Hat while in Nigeria which used to be the Head Office but there was a need for a name change. 'As a man's name is so his he', As the name Simply Beautiful is, so is our creation.

Who is Bisi Adedugbe?

Bisi is CEO/Designer - Simply Beautiful Creations. She's a very hardworking, industrious, creative and has a eye for fashion. but above all of these, she's a child of God.

Where and how can people find Simply Beautiful?

Simply Beautiful is presently located in the United States, Maryland to be precise and can be located now through phone 240-608-0555 and e-mail. simplibeautiful07@yahoo.com

Price Range

Our price varies from headpiece to headpiece and they are commensurate to the quality and uniqueness of our products.

Do you only do Hairpieces?

No. we have varieties and in the future we intend to add casual to our line i.e. face caps etc and design hats for men.

What is the latest trend for brides and her bridesmaids?

In my own Opinion, i think a little spice should be added to the brides and bridesmaids so as not to have the usual look. so having french veils instead of the usual veil and tiara for the brides is not a bad idea and for the bridesmaid, feathers will always work plus it adds elegance to their outfit.

What is the difference between the hair piece and a veil?

There is a lot of difference between the two. Hairpieces are already finished products made from different materials while the Veils is a type of material.

Is there a name for each hair pieces?

Not yet but will be very soon.

Special Rants of the week

Every week we receive rants from you guys, this week we decided to post some of them, more to come next week. keep them coming.......

1. Unfortunately not all families are perfect or live happily ever after but that should not be

obvious during ones wedding. Do you not just hate it when mum and dad are

divorced/separated and that becomes an issue when it is time to make the wedding

invitations. Next week we will give you tips on wedding invitation for the troublesome

parents.

2. What is it that bride and groom do while taking pictures that they waste so much time before

coming in for the reception - very annoying.

3. Grooms - it is okay to take your jacket off for reception especially is you are sweating like a

Christmas goat.

4. Tissue residue on brides face - chief bridesmaid do your job, you should make sure her face is

always on point at all time.

5. Dropping gown - brides who do not fit their gowns before their D day. It is annoying to see a

bride trying to dance and hold on to her dress so it does not drop

what a BEAUTIFUL Bride in the first pics- dayum, the wedding looked on crazy point!!!
per simply beautiful- nice work introducing the fascinators and birdcage veils to the usa- fascinators/feathers have been the trend in the UK for the longest time....
i'm excited i know someone getting married on this month and we're wearing those- yeahhhh!
well per the rant concerning the late coming into the reception- i would blame the oldies rather than the couple, they pack so much crap into the reception before it actually starts, guests have eaten by the time the couple arrives- that said, maybe they just want some alone time for once in the whole day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! leave them be and enjoy the reception...
good one on the tissue faced bride-lol, i never would have thought of that... i gues the chief bridesmaid has to be on had with a whole bag of tricks!!!
cheerio

Jojo & Oti, I am so loving the FOTOs ... Yeah Yewwie, Jojo is a beautiful bride ... I must confess o! I am a wedding foto freak, photographers must be on point with the pictures and capturing the details instead of just the geles, and the ounjes' (I digress people). Anyway the photographer did a good job in capturing FABULOUS shots!!

Now Ms. Bisi over here is just Simply TALENTED!!! My sista, for someone who is a fan of the headpiece, flower in the big hair ala Niecy Nash, this is definitely a fresh twist to throw in there from time to time ... and from personal experience, Simple Beautiful pieces are absolutely FAB. What I love the best about Simply Beautiful is truly the workmanship and finishing of the pieces. It just shows you that this person has truly put their ALL into the work ... Great work Ms. Taffy (gurl I still want my flower o!)

I dont want to comment on the RANTS yet, I am itching to, but want to see what y'all think ...

In the meantime, I want to holler at a few peeps that I have not seen in a while...

MOE (was up chica, wedding blues got u down, holler @ ur gurl)

yankeenaija (Invite your firends too)

Arewa (Love the whole mystere lady profile)

Abi (will be good to c u soon)

Shaywun(don't be a stranger)

Halle d snake skin bride (please give me your tailor's #,abeg I need to have a croc skin jumpsuit made ... ha ha)

Please I'm waiting on your tips on the "divorced parents situation". It is horrible. My parents are divorced and they definately do NOT get along. I honestly have no clue what to do especially since my mom raised me and she goes by another name now.

Can I have family of Johnson-Peters on the invitation/program/ e.t.c
(mom being johnson, and dad's last name (mine as well) being peters). HELP!

Another question. I really will want my mom to give me away but I won't want to cause any talk at my wedding (you know nigerian people). Or do you think its better to just walk down by myself?

Hi anonymous, I am amazed that people have not gotten on the blog wagon this week. Anyways it must be the holidays ...

Ok to address the rant for this week about the divorced parents, I would say do not let ANYONE have a vice /hold on you; so much so that you do not have peace on your DAY.

You are beginning a new life and your main concern should be that man you are walking down the aisle to meet. You can not expect to carry the burden of the mistakes your parents made. You were not a part of that. It is an unfortuante situation, however I think focuisng on it on your wedding day or during wedding preparations is wrong. Learn from their mistakes and vow to each other to make your relationship work.

As far as invitations go,not unless your stepdad has adopted you,I think it should just be your dad's name or better yet, I've seen an invitation that goes as such :
(Brides Name) and (Groom's name), together with their families invite you to join them as they celebrate their love in Holy Matrimony ... something like that. That way you avoid the whole name issue entirely. Families include anyone and everyone who wants to be included.

As far as who walks you down the aisle, not to sound harsh, but to make a point, if your father were dead and you were the only child of your mother and father, and your father and mom were also only children, who would walk you down the aisle? Would people think it unreasonable to have your mother walk you down the aisle if that is who you chose? If your father has not been a part of your life and you want your mom to walk you down the aisle, then so be it. In which book, scriptural or not, does it state that your dad MUST walk you down the aisle? It is a traditional thing and because the father is seen as the parent who bears the most burdens, they are given the responsibility of giving the child away.

If you go to prior blog responses, most of us have concluded that tradition sometimes hurts us rather than helps us at our weddings. let your mom walk you down the aisle if she has been both mother and father to you. Do not let people's opinion bother you. If your dad walks you down the aisle they will talk "I thought he has not been a part of their lives ... they actually can't stand each other etc ... "
If your mom walks you down the aisle they will still talk ... so ...

I hope this helps your dilemma

Wonderful job ladies! So am curious to know....approximately how much should one be budgeting to spend on a wedding taking place in Nigeria somewhere between April and August? Heard April-August are low key seasons and you won't be looking to spend as much unlike in December or January. How true?
Any response you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!
