Wedding Proposals

People say "wedding proposal" is not part of our culture, is that true? More and more females look forward to that proposal and even some males. Is it overrated? What does it mean to you? Today we take a look at some wedding proposals. Thank you guys for sharing your special proposals with us.

KENNY & BUSOLA

Busola and I have been together for so long that we knew we were going to get married. The question was, when? I decided to ask for Busola's hand in marriage on her graduation day, but her parents were not quite ready for that. With some perseverance and divine grace, I was able to win the heart of her parents and I asked for their blessing in November 2005.
Sometime after Busola's graduation, she started to get the drift that I was not going anywhere, so every now and again; we would window shop for engagement rings. We also took advantage of every moment we had together to plan our future; but for me, I was certain that d-day was nearer. With all the aforementioned preparations, I was more than ready for the d-day! I arranged with a dear friend of mine to purchase a beautiful engagement ring to surprise her on her 25th birthday. Marry me Busola, my Queen… Well, let me just say that I've enjoyed the difference between a boyfriend and a fiancée, and I can't wait to enjoy the lifelong difference between a fiancée and the MAN.

I don't think proposing to d person u love is overrated. But rather it shows how deeply u want to be committed to the relationship.

Awwwwwwwwwwww, all the couples look so cute. I ain't married yet or engaged but l dream of my man proposing to me someday in the sky. A romantic dinner for two in some private jet and the jet would be decorated with rose petals and there would be these two words "marry me".................dreams do come true. To bukie-jire, the hair looks like it's Kankolon or Toykalon that comes curled at the end. You can get it as one length or layered. Just get a good braider that can keep the curls in tact.
Toyin and Damilola: You two are an inspiration. I love that. Again, the Modern Nigerian Male is coming into focus and I can't wait to get mine. God bless you both with happiness, life and love and remember, even after you're married, with kids, what brought you too together in the first place. Never forget why you two got together.

I love proposals, especially when they are unique. I think it takes a lot of thought and planning to pull one off. I totally loved Dami and Toyin's proposal story. It was so unique and romantic and the good thing was that noone got razz and was like what is all this about abeg ... ha ha ... Bcos I know you ladies, you can mess up a broda's flow sometimes.

However you know who the author of Romance is ... My big Daddy GOD ... I am about to share the best proposal ever. Some of you may have seen this already but for me it always touches me how God can be so mindful of us ... A friend forwarded this to me earlier bon in the year. make sure you read the preamble b4 clicking on the link. Enjoy ladies and men get INSPIRED!!!!
P.S. Abeg please don't start any fights bcos Mr Man did not ask you this way o!

"I am speechless!!! You'll need sound…turn your volume up.

Read below on how this man proposed to his girlfriend.

This guy Rob said God was unfolding a vision in his life over the span of about a year and then he put faith to feet and made it happen. Rob and Keisha dated for about 4 years. And he knew that she was the one…but he had to save up for all that God had prompted him to do for her. So in short what you are about to see happened on April 28th, 2007....he rented out 10 rooms in the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead and invited about 50-60 people to be there for this special night...Keisha had to go from room to room and in each room were people who were special to them....his boys...her girls...her Bible Study group....his parents...her parents..etc. and everybody in each room had questions that she had to answer to be able to move to the next room and before she left each room the people there would pray over her....so you have to watch each room to see how that goes...he chose roses because Keisha's aunt who passed away suddenly, loved roses. He bought some of them dipped in gold because of the stories in the Bible about Solomon and how everything was dipped in gold and the song that you hear playing in the background was the same song that was played at Keisha aunts funeral who was like a second mom to Keisha.

I have spent the past year of my life piecing together a vision given to me by God. On April 28th, 2007 that vision was fulfilled. My labor of love for the woman I love.

I shall start wearing my ' find the decent blokes in lagos' radar glasses-didnt know they went to any trouble to propose esp when they know is 1 guy to 4 girls as per census!

Nonso it will surprise you how creative these guys can get ... I mean if they truly want it they will go all out.

By the by, did you get a chance to take a look at the proposal I posted earlier. Gbemi said it was too "Americanized" for her, however I live here so I could appreciate it ... check it out again ladies and leave some feedback.

To Bukie-jire, what did you curl your expression hair with? I really like the naija expression cos you can do anything with it really. I know it doesn't do well with curling irons but curls very well with rollers and that's what I used, but the kankolon and toykalon are pretty good too cos they come curled already but like yankee9ja said, you have to get a good braider otherwise, the hair tangles and freezes up pretty bad...
